We Clear It.
We Salvage It.
You Pay Less.
Fast. Reliable. No delays. From site prep and development clearing to mulching and property clean-up — we get the job done and get out of your way.
Knowledge you can't fake, and the gear to back it up.
Tree Eaters is a second-generation land clearing business based in Logan Village, with roots in the industry going back over 20 years. Founded by Tasman, who started in land clearing in 2006 and went out on his own in 2017. We bring a depth of hands-on knowledge you won't find with most operators.
We work across South East Queensland — from residential blocks and rural properties to large-scale housing developments and infrastructure projects. Our focus is simple: show up, move fast, and leave the site ready for whatever comes next.

Land Clearing, Done Properly
Whether you're breaking ground on a new development or cleaning up a rural property, we have the machines and the experience to handle it.
Land Clearing for Developments
Small to large scale clearing and grubbing for housing estates, subdivisions, and infrastructure projects. We sequence every stage — clearing, sizing, stick raking and grinding — so each phase rolls straight into the next with no hold-ups to your program.
New Home Build Clearing
Buying a block and need it ready to build? We clear your building envelope, driveway corridor, and access areas so your builder can get started without delays. Quick turnaround, clean result.
Fencelines, Firebreaks & Boundary Clearing
Overgrown fencelines aren't just an eyesore, they're a fire risk and a boundary dispute waiting to happen. We clear your fencelines and boundaries for safe access and effective firebreaks.
Mulching & Grinding
High-capacity grinding from 750hp to 1050hp machines. We mulch vegetation and green waste on site, reducing your removal costs. Keep the mulch as ground cover or we can arrange removal, your call.
Underscrubbing, Weed & Lantana Control
Lantana and regrowth taking over? We clear the undergrowth while leaving your established natives intact. The result: usable space, reduced fire risk, and a healthier block that stays manageable long-term.
Booked Once. Handled.
A lot of operators will promise a clean run and then disappear on you. Here's what sets us apart.
Short lead times
A lot of company's extend the griding stage and make you wait, just to keep the job. We move fast between stages so there's no gap in your program.
You book us once. We handle it
No daily check-ins, no chasing updates, you hear from us when the job's done.
Timber salvage knowledge
Trained by DPI-accredited cutters, we identify and recover sawlog-grade timber from your site, reducing what goes to mulch and lowering your overall project cost.
Experience that runs deep
Tasman has worked in land clearing since 2006. A second-generation family business, not a tree lopper crew who bought bigger machinery.
We've worked across all of Queensland
Whatever your terrain or site conditions, we've likely seen it before.
NO DELAY MACHINERY FLEET
Grinders from 750hp to 1050hp plus the right gear for clearing, stick raking and grinding, no waiting on hired-in equipment.
What Our Clients Say
"Tas was on site when he said he'd be, cleared the lot in three days and we didn't hear a peep until it was done. That's exactly what you want when you're running a tight program."
"We needed the block cleared before our builder started and Tree Eaters turned it around fast. Stumps gone, drive cleared, no mess left behind. Would use again without hesitation."
"Cleared about 40 acres of regrowth and lantana on our rural property. Tas knew exactly what he was doing — left the good trees standing and the place is actually usable now."

Good Questions, Straight Answers
Do you remove stumps or leave them?
We remove the stump & root ball as part of our Clearing, Sizing & Grinding process unless otherwise specified.
What happens to the trees once you've cleared them?
We sort and salvage what we can — quality logs are set aside, forks and undesirable timber go to firewood, and what remains will be turned into mulch. This approach reduces waste and can reduce your overall project cost.
Can we keep the mulch, or does it get removed?
You choose. We can leave the mulch on site as ground cover, or arrange removal if you'd prefer a clean finish.
What size jobs can you handle?
From a single residential block to large-scale development sites spanning multiple hectares. Turnaround runs at approximately 2–4+ days per hectare depending on conditions, density and landscape.
What machinery will you use?
We match equipment to the job. Our grinding fleet runs from 750hp to 1050hp, and we bring in the right machines for clearing, sizing, stick raking and stump grinding depending on your site requirements.
Do I need council approval before clearing?
This depends on your property type, zoning, and local council requirements. We recommend checking with your local council or a town planner before work begins. We're happy to advise on what's typically required in the areas we work.
Is burning an option instead of mulching?
In some cases, yes — subject to local burning regulations and fire restrictions. We can discuss this during your site assessment. In most development scenarios, mulching is faster, cheaper, and avoids permit complications.
I'm still in the planning phase. Can I get an idea of cost?
Absolutely. We're happy to chat through what's involved even if you're not ready to go yet. Call us on 0439 279 888 or fill out the quote form and let us know where you're at.
Do you do other types of clearing than those described?
Yes we do. We've done plenty of infrastructure project clearing for pipelines and roadsides, storm clean-ups on acreage properties, and removal of fallen trees from waterways and dams.
